Rehoboth Beach and the rest of the Delaware Beaches are home to a number of fantastic tour guide services that allow visitors to explore the area and enjoy some of the most exciting things to do Rehoboth Beach has to offer. Below, we’ve put together a list of some of the best tours in and around Rehoboth. Read on to learn more!

Rehoboth Beach Historical Walking Tour

The Rehoboth Beach Historical Society begins giving historical guided tours of the downtown area departing from the boardwalk bandstand on select Thursdays, starting at the end of June and running until the beginning of October. On this tour, you’ll learn about the natural and societal history of the area, from Rehoboth Beach’s historic attractions around the city to places where Native Americans dwelled, Methodist Camp meetings took place, railroads were built, shipwrecks, and more.

Jolly Trolley Tours

Covering similar ground to the Historical Walking Tour only with the fun of riding in a quaint trolley, the iconic Jolly Trolley allows you and your guests to experience the historical intrigue and coastal charm of Rehoboth without quite as much exertion. Also like the Historical Walking Tour, the Jolly Trolley runs its tours on select Thursdays from the end of June through October.

Beer, Wine, & Spirits Tour

Hosted by Delmarva Discovery Tours, this four-hour tour allows participants to sample the delectable creations of local craft microbreweries, meaderies, vineyards, and distilleries on the Beer, Wine, and Spirits Trail of Southern Delaware—the southern end of a trail that includes seventeen establishments in total, including Dogfish Head Brewery. Participants are driven by van, with a minimum of four to five people to hold a tour group (though smaller group accommodations can be made).

Guided Eco Kayak Tours

Based out of Fenwick Island, Coastal Kayak offers a neat selection of guided eco kayaking tours with small group sizes for maximum participant enjoyment. Take a tour of Burton’s Island and see the wildlife, paddle your way through the salt marsh of Assateague Island National Park and see the famous wild horses, glide underneath a tunnel of Bald Cypress trees on the Blad Cypress Tour, or explore the Assawoman Wildlife Refuge and observe bald eagles in the wild.

Cape Water Tours and Taxi

More than just a ferry ride, Cape Water Tours and Taxi is one of the best Rehoboth Beach activities! This ferry allows visitors to experience the Delaware Beaches from the water on a variety of eco tours, themed cruises, historical outings, state park tours, and more. The company specializes in trips through Rehoboth Bay and other local waterways, some of which include hands-on interaction with sea creatures, historical and scientific narration, Independence Day fireworks displays, and even live music performances.
