VACATION RENTALS BY REMAX LOGO WHITE ×

When you’re planning your vacation in a beautiful place like Rehoboth Beach, stressing out about how to find your way around should be the last thing on your mind. That’s why we’ve put together a handy guide for you and your guests on the best ways to get around Rehoboth! Read on below to learn more!

How to Navigate Your Way Around Town

The easiest ways to travel to Rehoboth are by car or by plane. Wicomico Regional Airport is forty-five minutes away from Rehoboth in Salisbury, MD, though it has limited services and is a smaller airport. Bigger airports with more flight options are situated about two to two and a half hours away, including Philadelphia International Airport, Baltimore-Washington International Airport, and Dulles International Airport. From these airports, you can rent a car and drive to your vacation rental.

However, parking can be difficult in the Rehoboth area, so if you can avoid taking a car, you won’t have to deal with the hassle of the limited parking in the area.

The DC2NY offers summer bus service that leaves from the Union Station Amtrak station and has drop-off points at both Rehoboth Beach and Dewey Beach. This bus service operates from Memorial Day weekend in May until Labor Day weekend in September. Additionally, the DART (Delaware Area Rapid Transit) has a year-round public bus service that departs from the Amtrak Station in Wilmington, DE to both Lewes Beach and Rehoboth Beach, though the route consists of three separate bus transfers.

If you can’t avoid taking a car, you can park your car at the Resort Transit Park & Ride lot off of Coastal Hwy 1 and take the DART buses for the rest of the day, which make stops at various boardwalks, beaches, and shopping outlets. These buses go as far as Lewes, Long Neck, and Dewey Beach. Alternatively, you can avoid parking tickets while driving in town by downloading the Parkmobile app before you get to the beach, allowing you to pay for metered parking spaces on your phone in Rehoboth Beach, Dewey Beach, Lewes, or Bethany Beach.

Another great way to get around Rehoboth is to rent out a bike from one of the local bike rental shops. You can even hop on a Cape Water Taxi from Dewey Beach to Lewes and back, or go for a ride on the Jolly Trolley.
