Frequently asked Questions about Our Vacation Rentals

 
Can I bring my pet? 
Most of our rental homes are pet free.  However, the pet-friendly properties we have available require a pet fee in addition to the rental rate.  This is fee is not refundable.

How does your payment process work and do you accept credit cards?
We require 50% down within 7 days of receipt of contract and the remaining balance due 30 days prior to check in. There is a 2.24% fee to process a VISA, MASTERCARD or DISCOVER; sorry no AMEX. You can mail us a paper check made out to RE/MAX Realty Group. Or tell us the bank account and routing numbers, and we can electronically process a payment from your checking account as an e-check. Both checks and e-checks are processed for free, but any returned checks will be subject to a $30.00 insufficient-funds fee. If your reservation is within the 30-day timeframe, payment is due in full.  If you are checking in soon, last minute payments must be made with e-check or credit card only. Full payment is required before checking in. 

Can I book online?
Online booking is available for all of our properties.  Just click on the “Book Now” tab and complete all the required information.  A confirmation and rental agreement will be emailed to you immediately and a Rental Agent should reach out to you within 24 hours to confirm the reservation. We’ll ask you to sign the contract, and then provide the down payment within 7 days.

Can I check in early and what do I have to do when checking out?
Check in location is 323-A Rehoboth Ave, Rehoboth Beach, DE 19971 and check in hours are 3:00-5:00PM.  There is a drop box located by the front door for early check outs or late check ins. Early check in must be arranged in advance with your Agent.  Our office hours are Mon-Sat 9-5 and Sun 10-3, if you are checking in late arrangements must be made in advance.  Guests are required to report any damages, cleaning concerns and/or discrepancies with the property to your Agent within 24hrs.  Check out is 10:00AM, no exceptions unless arrangements have been made with your Agent.  Usually guests are responsible for returning all keys, parking passes, pool passes, etc. at the RE/MAX office. Some properties have other arrangements. Please refer to the check list your Agent has provided.

What other fees are associated with the rental rate?
Each city has designated rental tax that will apply if your rental home is within a city limit. Some communities require fees for their amenities. Our agency collects a $75.00 booking fee which is nonrefundable, the $60.00 damage insurance protection plan is nonrefundable, and pet fees if applicable, are nonrefundable. A few properties provide linens at no additional charge. We also have a rental package if you would like to avoid toting your own back and forth. Each property, community and city is a little different, so please confirm your fees with your Rental Agent.

Can I cancel my reservation?
All cancellations need to be in writing.  Our office policy is we must re-book the time you reserved at the same price.  If we re-book the home, you will receive a refund minus a 15% cancellation policy.  We strongly encourage travel insurance. 

What happens if I damage the home during my stay?
We understand that things happen. Please call the office immediately. We can make arrangements for repairs and, if you purchased a damage insurance policy, we can file an insurance claim and do all the paperwork for you. Most importantly, we want to assure that the next family renting this home will not be affected by the damages, so it is very important to call us ASAP.

What should I do if my rental is not clean or there are damages?
This is unacceptable for our guests to check in to a property in poor condition.  Please call the office immediately and every effort will be made to correct the error as soon as possible.

What should I bring with me?
You should bring sheets and towels (unless they are already provided by the homeowner or your rented them), beach towels, and paper products.  Most of our rentals do not include linens so please check your contract to confirm.  All rental properties are equipped with cooking equipment, flat ware, dishes, glasses, coffee maker, coffee cups, cooking utensils, etc.

Smoking is not permitted in our rental homes!
